This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate and analyze student academic and non-collegiate records to determine transfer credit.
• Assess admission eligibility and the requirements for degree, certificate, and credential programs at National University.
• Generate Academic Advisement Reports and multiple degree evaluations in a timely manner.
• Execute SOAR Academic Advisement Reports and manually adjust records to accurately represent transfer credit.
• Assess undergraduate and graduate coursework from both domestic and foreign institutions, military training, credit-by-examination, and other non-traditional sources.
• Input and update course equivalencies in the Transfer Equivalency System (TES).
• Review and amend transcript processing details and student academic records.
• Evaluate student files for scholarship eligibility.
• Articulate degree requirements, academic policies, and procedures to students, advisors, faculty, and staff.
• Address student issues concerning the transferability of credit and devise solutions for unique cases.
• Maintain regular communication with students, advisors, Campus Directors, university departments, and faculty regarding evaluations and academic policies.
• Conduct re-evaluations for changes in degree objectives or additional credit.
• Provide estimates, pre-evaluations, and course equivalencies for department heads, advisors, and the Committee on the Application of Standards.
• Manage concurrent enrollment requests, Student Agreements, Challenge/Credit by Exam, course waivers, and changes in programs or plans.
• Stay updated on catalog policies, procedures, and standards related to transfer credit.
• Inform the Registrar’s Office Articulation area of coursework requiring modifications.
• Support the Office of the Registrar with substitutions, equivalencies, degree audits, and transcript verification.
• Engage in departmental and special projects.
• Maintain consistent attendance and undertake other assigned responsibilities.
• At least one (1) year of experience in record keeping, customer service, or a related field is required.
• A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Experience in the higher education sector is preferred.
• Familiarity with technology-driven environments is preferred.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Capacity to understand complex information and apply it according to established policies.
• Proficient in critical thinking and complex problem-solving.
• Ability to make subjective and professional judgments and accurately interpret records against established criteria.
• High attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.
• Understanding of academic and business practices within an online setting.
• Awareness of university policies and procedures, including updates to these policies.
• Strong customer service abilities.
• Capability to manage conflicts arising from student concerns or escalations.
• Ability to remain focused on solutions while adhering to university policies and federal regulations.
• Competence in multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in using email and other technology-based communication tools.
