This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate and analyze student academic and non-collegiate records to guarantee precise transfer-credit assessments.
• Assess admission eligibility and identify necessary courses for National University degree, certificate, and credential programs.
• Review undergraduate and graduate coursework from both foreign and domestic institutions, military training, credit-by-examination, and other non-traditional sources.
• Conduct SOAR audits and manually revise Academic Advisement Reports to ensure accurate application of transfer credits.
• Generate timely Academic Advisement Reports and update relevant student records accordingly.
• Input and revise course equivalencies in the Transfer Equivalency System (TES).
• Scrutinize and amend transcript-processing details and student academic records.
• Assess student files to determine scholarship eligibility.
• Clarify and communicate degree requirements, academic policies, and procedures to students, advisors, faculty, and staff.
• Address student transfer-credit issues and devise solutions for unique cases.
• Maintain regular communication with students, advisors, Campus Directors, university departments, and faculty regarding evaluations and academic policies.
• Conduct re-evaluations following changes in degree objectives or the acquisition of additional non-traditional or transfer credits.
• Prepare estimates, pre-evaluations, and course equivalencies for department chairs, advisors, and the Committee on the Application of Standards.
• Manage concurrent enrollment requests, Student Agreements, Challenge/Credit by Exam, course waivers, and modifications to programs or plans.
• Review Academic Advisement Reports for eligibility and relevance to new degree plans.
• Confirm undergraduate bachelor conferral dates and GPA criteria for graduate evaluations.
• Assist Registrar’s Office departments with course substitutions, equivalencies, degree audits, and transcript verification.
• Engage in department and special projects while performing other assigned responsibilities.
• Ensure consistent attendance; no travel is required.
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience in record keeping, customer service, or a related field is required.
• Experience in the higher education sector is preferred.
• Background in a technology-driven organization is preferred.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills are essential.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Capacity to understand complex information and apply it in line with policy.
• Proficient in critical thinking and complex problem-solving.
• Ability to make subjective and professional judgments while accurately interpreting records against established criteria.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.
• Familiarity with academic and business practices in an online context.
• Knowledge of university policies and procedures, including updates.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Capacity to manage conflicts arising from student concerns or escalations.
• Proficiency in using email and other technology-based communication platforms.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate consistent integrity.
• Competence in Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
