Real Estate Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee and coordinate real estate projects, including site selection, design, and the opening of new shops.

• Analyze market trends, monitor competition, and track retail activities and growth patterns.

• Utilize GIS systems to gather demographic and modeling data for the creation of growth strategies.

• Stay informed about site opportunities within designated market regions.

• Negotiate Letters of Intent (LOIs) and assist in lease negotiations in collaboration with legal teams, franchise partners, and landlords.

• Prepare presentations for the Real Estate Committee for final evaluation and decision-making.

• Educate Franchisees and Operating Partners on best practices for effective site selection.

• Conduct field assessments of submitted sites within the specified region and timeframe.

• Collaborate with Construction teams on communication with landlords/developers, adherence to deadlines, and assessment of financial feasibility.

• Open new markets as instructed by the Real Estate Committee.

• Maintain relationships with brokers to facilitate site acquisition in targeted development markets.

• Provide timely updates regarding development activities within the designated territory.

• Develop growth plans for both company and franchise partner expansion.

• Ensure ongoing communication with headquarters departments about site opportunities and development requirements.

• Communicate in a professional and timely manner with external contacts.

• Participate in ICSC, Retail Live, and other retail conferences to educate partners and identify site opportunities.

• Collaborate with Construction, Operations Support, Administration, and pre-opening teams to ensure successful store openings.

• Work with architecture and design teams to keep plan development and franchisee timelines on schedule.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate is required.

• Knowledge of build-to-suit projects, leases, land use, development processes, building permits, and construction project management is advantageous.

• Ability to drive is essential.

• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

• Excellent organizational skills are necessary.

• Flexibility to easily adapt to changes.

• Ability to meet tight deadlines is crucial.

• Strong project management skills with a focus on task completion and follow-through.

• Effective communication skills are required.

• Proficiency in reading and writing in English is necessary.

• Good or corrected vision and hearing are required.

• Proficient in operating a computer and office productivity tools.

• Ability to work in an office setting.
