This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee and facilitate projects throughout the phases of site selection, design, and shop openings.
• Analyze markets while monitoring competitors, retail activities, and growth trends.
• Utilize GIS for demographic insights and modeling data to formulate growth strategies.
• Stay informed of site opportunities within market regions.
• Negotiate Letters of Intent (LOIs) and assist in lease negotiations involving legal, franchise partners, and landlords.
• Review and finalize Real Estate Committee presentations for assessment and decision-making.
• Educate Franchisees and Operating Partners on optimal site selection strategies.
• Conduct field reviews of proposed sites within the assigned territory and within set timelines.
• Collaborate with Construction teams for effective communication with landlords/developers, adherence to deadlines, and evaluation of financial viability.
• Launch new markets as directed by the Real Estate Committee.
• Maintain broker relationships in targeted development markets.
• Deliver timely updates regarding development activities within the designated territory.
• Develop growth plans for company and franchise partner expansion.
• Keep HQ departments informed about site opportunities and development requirements.
• Respond to verbal and written communications in a professional and timely manner.
• Attend ICSC, Retail Live, and other relevant retail conferences to educate partners and identify site opportunities.
• Collaborate with Construction, Operations Support, Administration, and pre-opening teams to ensure successful shop openings.
• Coordinate with architecture and design teams to ensure that plan development and franchisee timelines are adhered to.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate is required.
• Familiarity with build-to-suit projects, leases, land use, development processes, building permits, and construction project management is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel, with at least 40% of time spent on the road.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
