React Native Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Create pixel-perfect and seamless user interfaces for both iOS and Android platforms.

• Develop new mobile functionalities that are compatible with supported mobile applications and systems.

• Utilize native APIs for comprehensive integrations with various platforms.

• Identify and resolve bugs as well as performance issues.

• Maintain a version-controlled codebase and implement automated unit tests.

• Transition current features to React Native to ensure feature consistency.

• Collaborate as part of an Agile development team.

• Execute individual tasks autonomously.

• Work together with development teams to draft API specification outlines for front-end and back-end divisions.

• Design, maintain, and implement both new and existing features across mobile applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience with JavaScript and TypeScript, including ES6+ syntax and React Native.

• Understanding of both object-oriented and functional programming concepts.

• Proficiency in utilizing third-party packages for React and React Native.

• Capability to write clean, well-documented JavaScript code.

• Extensive experience in working with third-party dependencies and troubleshooting dependency conflicts.

• Familiarity with native build tools such as XCode, Gradle, and Android Studio.

• Skilled in debugging, building, and developing within XCode and Android Studio.

• Knowledge of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline data storage.

• Experience with automated testing frameworks like Detox and Jest.

• Understanding of Git and repository management, including branch handling, Git commands, pull requests, and conflict resolution.

• Willingness and enthusiasm to learn new technologies.

• Preferred: Basic knowledge of Swift, Objective-C, and Java.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Apple Developer/Connect standards and regulations.

• Preferred: A publicly available app on Google Play or the Apple App Store.
