React Engineer – xCharts

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Assist in steering architectural choices via public RFCs and issues.

• Play a key role in significant refactors and feature launches within a complex codebase.

• Minimize user friction through effective API design, bug resolution, error messaging, documentation, and blog contributions.

• Collaborate with and motivate the open-source community by reviewing issues and pull requests.

• Experiment with innovative features and techniques to address complex challenges.

• Take ownership of features from concept or mockup to live deployment.

• Iterate and deliver frequently to maximize user value.

• Engage with users consistently by managing inbound support and feature requests.

• Develop new features and assist in promoting the adoption of MUI X Charts.

⛳️ Requirements

• IC4 level or higher.

• Proficient in the modern JavaScript ecosystem, including ES2021, TypeScript, Node.js, React, Next.js, Webpack, and Babel.

• Proven history of demonstrating product judgment and addressing real-world user issues.

• Experience in building and deploying production code collaboratively.

• A strong passion for writing tested, high-performance, and quality code.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to delve into and comprehend complex codebase challenges.

• Openness to asking and answering questions, alongside a commitment to continuous learning.

• Experience or interest in graphics technologies, such as SVG and canvas.

• Ability to define and stage work into clear milestones.

• Previous experience with front-end infrastructure, including design systems, Babel plugins, or intricate React components.

• Familiarity with charts, design systems, active repositories, or contributions to MUI open-source projects is a plus but not mandatory.
