This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +6 more locations.
• Oversee operations, priorities, staffing, and delivery execution for a designated software R&D team
• Provide direct leadership to team members, including coaching, performance management, and career development
• Collaborate with product management, product ownership, architecture, quality assurance, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), support, IT, marketing, and other stakeholders
• Lead the development and delivery of SaaS applications, analytics, monitoring solutions, data pipelines, integrations, and enterprise software capabilities
• Assist in new product development and ongoing engineering for deployed enterprise software products and services
• Engage in production incident triage and follow-up activities
• Establish operational practices that enhance planning discipline, execution predictability, quality, communication, and coordination
• Identify and mitigate risks related to delivery, technical issues, dependency gaps, and resource limitations
• Conduct and collaborate on research, development, and technical evaluation initiatives
• Support technical decisions related to cloud-native architectures, data-centric systems, APIs, enterprise integrations, observability, cybersecurity, and operational readiness
• Promote agile planning, prioritization, backlog alignment, and coordination among globally distributed teams
• Foster a culture centered on accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, engineering excellence, and customer impact
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• At least 2 years of experience in formally or informally leading teams, projects, programs, or technical delivery
• Proven experience in leading software development or technical delivery in SaaS, enterprise applications, analytics, monitoring, data platforms, laboratory informatics, or similar digital product environments
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, agile delivery methodologies, release planning, sustaining support, and cross-functional product development
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage ambiguity, develop team members, and maintain focus on execution in a globally distributed team setting
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Preferred: experience in life sciences, laboratory informatics, scientific instruments, services, or regulated enterprise environments
• Preferred: experience with CrossLab Connect or analogous lab operations, asset management, service management, monitoring, analytics, or customer-facing digital platforms
• Preferred: experience with enterprise or B2B cloud platforms, including SaaS, data/analytics, monitoring, or integration systems
• Preferred: familiarity with data-centric architectures, batch or streaming data pipelines, data models, and integration patterns
• Preferred: familiarity with cloud-native architectures, microservices, APIs, web applications, containerization, CI/CD, and DevOps practices
• Preferred: experience in supporting new product development and sustaining activities for deployed enterprise software products
• Preferred: familiarity with AI/ML concepts, predictive analytics, IoT/edge systems, telemetry ingestion, digital twins, or data-driven laboratory operations
• Preferred: experience with agile development methodologies, distributed team collaboration, and cross-functional planning
