RCM Coding Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute assigned abstracting and coding tasks within a multi-specialty or service organization.

• Allocate diagnostic and procedure codes along with modifiers to both outpatient and inpatient records.

• Uphold standards of timeliness, productivity, and quality in diagnostic and procedural coding.

• Apply industry best practices in all coding and auditing activities.

• Act as a resource and subject matter expert for fellow staff members.

• Perform additional responsibilities as directed by the supervisor or management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Coding Certification is mandatory; RHIA Certification is preferred.

• At least 3 years of experience in outpatient coding is desirable.

• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Familiarity with 3M Coding Software.

• Adhering to high ethical and professional standards.

• Strong time management abilities.

• Exceptional organizational skills.

• Keen attention to detail.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

• Must possess the legal right to work in the United States; the company cannot offer visa sponsorship.
