This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct research, design, and evaluate cryptographic solutions that are resistant to quantum attacks, encompassing post-quantum cryptography (PQC) algorithms and emerging quantum-safe security standards.
• Evaluate enterprise systems, applications, protocols, and cryptographic implementations for vulnerabilities associated with both current and potential quantum computing threats.
• Create and implement strategies for cryptographic modernization and migration.
• Develop, prototype, test, and optimize cryptographic algorithms, libraries, APIs, and security components.
• Assess and implement post-quantum cryptographic algorithms that meet NIST standards, including key establishment and digital signature methods.
• Execute cryptographic testing, security analysis, performance benchmarking, and interoperability assessments.
• Create architectures that enhance crypto-agility, allowing for updates to cryptographic algorithms, protocols, certificates, and keys.
• Integrate quantum-safe cryptography with PKI, identity management, TLS, VPNs, cloud platforms, network security systems, applications, and data protection technologies.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity architects, software engineers, researchers, and system owners to devise practical quantum-security solutions and implementation standards.
• Generate technical documentation, architectural guidance, migration roadmaps, cryptographic inventories, risk assessments, and recommendations for post-quantum readiness.
• At least 10 years of IT experience, with a minimum of 5 years focused on Quantum Computing and Cryptography at a large corporation or government agency comparable in size and scope to GSA, IRS, DoD, or VA.
• A Master’s degree in a relevant IT field may replace up to 2 years of the required experience.
• Proficiency in quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms (e.g., Shor’s algorithm, Grover’s algorithm), and quantum information theory.
• Expertise in quantum programming languages and frameworks like Qiskit (IBM), Cirq (Google), Quipper, and Microsoft Quantum Development Kit.
• Knowledge of cryptographic protocols (e.g., RSA, AES) and principles of public-key infrastructure (PKI).
• Proficient in post-quantum cryptography and quantum-resistant algorithms.
• Familiarity with existing cryptographic standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 19790).
• Competency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and Java for the implementation and testing of cryptographic algorithms.
• Experience with classical and quantum simulation tools.
• Ability to provide guidance on quantum-resistant algorithm migration plans and post-quantum cryptography (PQC) implementation strategies.
• Skill in assessing organizational cryptographic inventories and determining migration priorities.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to convey quantum risk to non-technical leadership.
• Experience contributing policy and guidance for cryptographic modernization in alignment with NIST PQC standards (FIPS 203, 204, 205).
• Background in project management or experience in a project-oriented environment, with an understanding of configuration management during the project lifecycle at a large corporation or government agency similar in size and scope to GSA, IRS, DoD, or VA.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Information Security, Information Resource Management, or related fields.
• Certification in one or more areas: IAT III, IAM III, IASAE III.
• Competitive salary, paid bi-monthly.
• Top-tier medical coverage.
• 100% of medical premiums covered by True Zero.
• Company-wide incentives for new business initiatives.
• Contribution incentives (e.g., white papers, blog posts, internal webinars, etc.).
• 3 weeks of paid time off (PTO) to start, plus 11 paid holidays annually.
• 401k program with a 100% company match on the first 4%.
• Monthly reimbursement for cell phone and home internet expenses.
