Quantitative Research Analyst, Early Childhood

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee multiple research and evaluation initiatives concurrently as a quantitative task leader or analyst.

• Engage both independently and collaboratively in the creation of reports, briefs, and memos.

• Manage quantitative analysis strategies from data preparation to final outcomes, including establishing timelines, scopes of work, and budgets.

• Aid in the development of quantitative data collection protocols and assist with data gathering efforts.

• Collaborate with colleagues to formulate analytical plans and data management documentation.

• Examine quantitative data utilizing both basic and advanced statistical techniques.

• Carry out research with a focus on equity.

• Commit to ongoing learning and development to become a more equitable employee and researcher.

• Support proposal development initiatives.

• Present research findings to clients and stakeholders during public forums.

• Train and supervise research assistants and support personnel.

• Contribute to communication and dissemination efforts.

• Collaborate with federal government entities, state agencies, communities, and foundations on early childhood research, evaluation, technical assistance, and policy projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree in research methods, statistics, applied statistics, applied mathematics, biostatistics, applied economics, data science, quantitative sociology or psychology, public health, mathematics, psychology, education, public policy, or a related field along with 2–3 years of experience OR a Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of relevant quantitative experience.

• Proficient in inferential statistical techniques and research methodologies, including data cleaning, managing missing data, analyzing categorical and continuous data, and employing quasi-experimental designs.

• Experience in managing, cleaning, and analyzing secondary and/or administrative data.

• Strong proficiency in Stata or R.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with data visualization techniques.

• Exceptional writing abilities and the capacity to convey complex information to general and policy audiences.

• Outstanding task management and organizational skills.

• Strong communication abilities.

• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to accept and provide guidance.

• All candidates must possess authorization to work in the US.

• Submission of a resume/CV, cover letter, work sample illustrating quantitative skills, and three professional references is required.

• Preferred but not mandatory: experience with data collection and management; methodological designs; causal analyses, structural equation modeling, multi-level modeling, policy evaluation methods; knowledge of Python and/or SQL; familiarity with Git and GitHub; client-related work.
