📋 Description

• Conceive innovative and challenging tasks in the fields of computational genomics and bioinformatics that evaluate advanced AI agent capabilities.

• Create realistic, multi-step workflows that involve FASTA/FASTQ, VCF, BAM/SAM, BED, TSV/CSV, expression data, and sequence annotations.

• Develop tasks that necessitate scientific judgment, encompassing the identification of data artifacts, management of ambiguity, selection of suitable methods, and adjustment of assumptions based on preliminary results.

• Draft task specifications, input datasets, anticipated output schemas, and objectively verifiable ground truths.

• Construct expert reference solutions and reproducible computational workflows utilizing Python, command-line tools, and bioinformatics libraries.

• Assess scientific accuracy, solvability, and the appropriate challenge level for advanced AI models.

• Formulate grading criteria that differentiate scientifically accurate solutions from superficially credible outputs.

• Ensure that deliverables are reproducible, thoroughly documented, and appropriate for client review.

• Integrate reviewer feedback while upholding quality and productivity.

• Relay updates, obstacles, and scientific or technical needs to project leads and reviewers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ph.D., postdoctoral experience, or equivalent research background in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, Computational Genetics, or a related field.

• Strong hands-on programming skills in Python.

• Practical experience in analyzing biological sequence or genomics datasets.

• Familiarity with Linux or command-line computational environments.

• Ability to independently validate scientific reasoning, computational techniques, and analytical results.
