📋 Description

• Create innovative and challenging tasks within the realms of computational genomics and bioinformatics that assess the capabilities of advanced AI agents.

• Construct realistic, multi-step workflows utilizing formats such as FASTA/FASTQ, VCF, BAM/SAM, BED, TSV/CSV, gene expression data, and sequence annotations.

• Develop tasks that necessitate scientific judgment, artifact identification, ambiguity management, method selection, and the revision of assumptions based on preliminary results.

• Prepare detailed task specifications, input datasets, anticipated output schemas, and objectively verifiable ground truths.

• Generate expert reference solutions and reproducible workflows utilizing Python, command-line tools, and bioinformatics libraries.

• Assess scientific accuracy, solvability, and the challenge level for advanced AI models.

• Create grading criteria that clearly differentiate scientifically accurate solutions from superficially plausible outputs.

• Ensure that deliverables are reproducible, thoroughly documented, and appropriate for client evaluation.

• Integrate reviewer feedback while upholding quality and efficiency.

• Relay progress updates, obstacles, and scientific or technical requirements to project leads and reviewers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Ph.D., postdoctoral experience, or equivalent research experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, Computational Genetics, or a closely related field.

• Significant hands-on programming expertise in Python.

• Practical experience in analyzing biological sequences or genomics datasets.

• Familiarity with Linux or command-line computational environments.

• Capability to independently validate scientific reasoning, computational methods, and analytical outputs.
