Quality Manager – Packaging

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the qualification, approval, monitoring, and ongoing management of third-party manufacturing and packaging suppliers.

• Perform supplier audits, vendor evaluations, and participate in customer accreditation assessments.

• Assist with new product launches by identifying, evaluating, and qualifying suppliers.

• Handle supplier-related quality incidents, including change controls, deviations, escalations, recalls, corrective actions, and compliance matters.

• Create, maintain, and review supplier quality documentation, such as Quality Agreements, qualification statements, performance metrics, and remediation plans.

• Track supplier quality performance through KPIs and PPM metrics.

• Lead initiatives for continuous improvement and corrective actions.

• Investigate and resolve supplier quality concerns, customer complaints, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).

• Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams to enhance quality, compliance, and operational performance.

• Assist in supplier release and approval processes using SAP and Lock-IT.

• Suggest and implement process enhancements to improve product quality, compliance, and timely delivery performance.

• Manage requests for customer quality documentation and maintain accurate quality assurance systems, specifications, and records.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in Supplier Quality Management, Quality Assurance, or Quality Engineering, preferably in the packaging sector.

• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, supplier quality processes, and continuous improvement practices.

• Proven track record in managing supplier qualification, conducting supplier audits, performance monitoring, corrective and preventive actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Solid understanding of packaging manufacturing processes, supply chain operations, and related quality and compliance standards.

• Established experience in supporting customer audit processes and collaborating directly with suppliers to address quality concerns and enhance performance.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and experienced with SAP or comparable ERP systems.

• Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing, and communication capabilities.

• Proficiency in English is required.

• Ability to foster robust relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.

• Willingness to travel regularly to supplier, customer, and manufacturing locations across India, typically three days per week.
