This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Perform operational and quality audits across various locations.
• Educate, guide, and mentor operations staff and leadership teams.
• Detect performance deficiencies and suggest corrective measures.
• Spearhead the adoption of new technologies, systems, processes, and operational initiatives.
• Assist in launching new operations through implementation planning, training, and project coordination.
• Track operational KPIs to pinpoint opportunities for improvement.
• Facilitate action planning and follow-up activities post-audits and performance evaluations.
• Aid in conducting customer, driver, and employee satisfaction surveys and operational assessments.
• Collaborate with operations leadership to enhance performance, service quality, and efficiency.
• Provide temporary operational management support during vacancies, transitions, peak seasons, or special projects.
• Create and sustain SOPs, training materials, process documentation, audit tools, scorecards, and reporting systems.
• Identify operational risks and relay findings to leadership.
• Onboard and train new operations leaders.
• Support leadership development, customer needs, operational best practices, system implementations, and process modifications.
• Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews and Monthly Business Reviews as required.
• Travel extensively throughout the company's operational network, roughly 75%, including potential overnight stays and prolonged periods away from home.
• Maintain regular communication with field leadership regarding audit outcomes, training prospects, and operational performance trends.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be acceptable.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in transportation, warehouse, logistics, distribution, or operational leadership roles.
• Proven experience in conducting operational audits and leading process improvement initiatives.
• Experience in training, coaching, and mentoring employees and leaders.
• Solid understanding of warehouse and transportation operations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
• Experience in multi-site transportation, warehousing, or logistics operations is preferred.
• Familiarity with supporting operational startups or business implementations is preferred.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certification is preferred.
• Experience with KPI development, reporting, and analysis is preferred.
• Previous experience as an Operations Manager, Terminal Manager, Distribution Manager, or similar leadership position is preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring aptitude.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to analyze operational performance data and recognize trends.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work independently.
• Familiarity with TMW TotalMail, PeopleNet, Samsara, Microsoft OneDrive, and Microsoft SharePoint.
• Capability to establish effective working relationships across all organizational levels.
• Proficiency in effectively presenting information and facilitating discussions with employees, customers, and leadership teams.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
