Quality Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and oversee the internal Quality Assurance Plan.

• Evaluate and provide feedback on Quality Control Plans submitted by EPC, ensuring alignment with contract documents.

• Utilize PMIS or other construction management tools for conducting inspections and quality assessments.

• Supervise field quality checks in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Manage third-party site quality inspections effectively.

• Coordinate Independent Engineer site quality inspections.

• Establish controls and approval procedures for Authorization to Energize in collaboration with EPC contractors.

• Perform routine job-site visits to assess the methods of electrical and mechanical installations.

• Oversee contractor testing to ensure compliance with EPCA, NEC, and Independent Engineer specifications.

• Administer and evaluate testing requirements from utilities, local/state Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), or the owner.

• Manage performance metrics and review capacity tests produced by EPC.

• Supervise the installation and commissioning of solar systems by turnkey EPC contractors, ensuring adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of solar-specific QA/QC experience with an owner-developer, Independent Engineer (IE) firm, or tier-1 EPC contractor.

• Proven track record of achieving successful outcomes in renewable energy project construction.

• Extensive knowledge of the solar industry.

• Familiar with utility interconnection procedures and testing prerequisites.

• NABCEP or similar certifications are required.

• OSHA 30 certification is highly preferred.

• Experience operating drones is an advantage.

• Strong grasp of solar photovoltaic systems and installation methodologies.

• Proficient in reading and understanding plans, drawings, specifications, bid materials, contracts, and associated construction documents.

• Familiarity with project management software and tools is essential.

• Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
