📋 Description

• Oversee Behavioral Health Performance Improvement initiatives

• Monitor performance trends and incidents, conducting Root Cause Analysis

• Guarantee high-quality and culturally responsive care

• Direct ongoing survey readiness activities, including mock surveys and tracer methodologies

• Translate and implement regulatory requirements into clinical workflows and policies

• Ensure that contracted services adhere to accreditation standards and comply with relevant regulations, including The Joint Commission Behavioral Health standards

• Perform chart audits focusing on timely assessments, treatment plans, medical necessity, and discharge planning

• Identify potential risks, apply corrective actions, and collaborate with supervisors on provider documentation issues

• Monitor key metrics and assist with OPPE and FPPE processes for licensed providers

• Create dashboards and reports for leadership evaluation

• Train staff on documentation, risk assessment, incident reporting, and quality improvement methods

• Support competency validation and address performance deficiencies with leadership

• Coordinate the Behavioral Health Quality/Performance Improvement Committee

• Collaborate with Risk Management/Compliance on investigations and mitigation strategies

• Assist in the development and annual evaluation of Performance Improvement plans

• Analyze, create, and monitor clinical Quality Improvement activities for compliance with customer guarantees

• Lead clinical quality audits in collaboration with benefits and customer teams

• Investigate and resolve complaints and grievances related to behavioral health quality of care

• Carry out additional duties as assigned


⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in a behavioral health clinical track (e.g., LCSW, LMHC, LPC, MSW, LMFT, Ph.D, Psy.D.)

• Current unrestricted license to practice in the United States

• Minimum of 3 years experience in behavioral health, quality improvement, or compliance, with a background in chart audits, incident reviews, and regulatory surveys

• Strong comprehension of Behavioral Health clinical workflows and documentation needs

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance

• Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies (PDSA, Lean, Six Sigma)

• Proficient in data analysis and interpretation

• Capacity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and influence practice changes

• In-depth understanding of mental health conditions, evidence-based treatment options, and evaluation of patient progress

• Awareness of cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic diversity within client populations

• Ability to engage through secure virtual platforms while safeguarding confidential data

• Proficient in Electronic Health Records and ensuring accurate, timely documentation

• Commitment to staying updated with relevant training and advancements in virtual healthcare delivery

• Critical thinking skills to adapt processes according to client needs

• Strong collaboration and interprofessional communication abilities

• Familiarity with and adherence to system policies, protocols, and procedures

• Commitment to legal and ethical healthcare standards, patient confidentiality, and HIPAA-compliant documentation and communication

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules, priorities, records, and ensure timely follow-up
