Quality Engineer – IC2

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and implement testing strategies for designated product areas.

• Develop detailed test plans, automated tests, test data, and quality validation strategies.

• Utilize AI-assisted testing techniques to create, evaluate, enhance, and verify AI-generated testing artifacts.

• Promote and apply quality engineering, responsible AI validation, automation, and software quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Design and execute testing methodologies for functional, integration, API, end-to-end, acceptance, regression, performance, and non-functional requirements.

• Develop, sustain, and enhance automated testing frameworks.

• Collaborate with Engineering teams to diagnose software defects and verify resolutions.

• Increase automated test coverage and enhance testing efficiency through AI-assisted testing and workflow optimization.

• Track quality metrics, customer insights, testing outcomes, and release results to spot trends and opportunities for defect prevention.

• Contribute to technical documentation, reusable testing assets, automation frameworks, quality metrics, and engineering standards.

• Stay updated on new testing technologies and AI-enabled quality engineering capabilities.

• Work together with Engineering, Product Management, Developer Experience, Infrastructure, Operations, and Quality Engineering teams.

• Report testing progress, quality metrics, release readiness, and technical advice to stakeholders.

• Engage in design discussions, architecture reviews, code assessments for testability, and cross-functional planning.

• Offer technical direction, constructive feedback, and knowledge sharing to Associate Quality Engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 2–5 years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, or test automation.

• Proven experience in designing and executing testing strategies for web applications, APIs, or distributed software systems.

• Proficiency in automated testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar.

• Familiarity with Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems.

• Experience in testing APIs, web applications, and distributed systems.

• Working knowledge of AI-assisted testing tools, AI output evaluation, prompt engineering, and AI-enabled quality engineering practices.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and contemporary DevOps practices.

• Understanding of software quality, secure development practices, observability, and release readiness.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with the capacity to independently resolve quality issues.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional Agile teams.

• Experience in implementing test automation frameworks in production settings.

• Background in mentoring junior Quality Engineers.

• Experience with performance, security, accessibility, or API testing.

• Familiarity with LLMs, AI orchestration frameworks, or AI-enabled testing platforms.

• Experience with containerized applications, Kubernetes, or cloud-native environments.

• Certifications such as ISTQB, Certified Agile Tester, or AI-related certifications.
