Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive test plans utilizing AI and create “Master Prompts” for test generation.

• Construct and sustain automation frameworks and AI agents that empower developers to generate test suites.

• Serve as the Product Owner for the internal suite of AI agents, focusing on tuning, auditing, and managing context.

• Set up risk-based quality gates that automatically modify strictness according to code change risk.

• Create YAML test data schemas and JSON contract definitions to facilitate self-service testing.

• Identify software defects and propose necessary actions.

• Offer general support for production systems and engage in design reviews.

• Implement Golden Signals—Latency, Traffic, Errors, and Saturation—to monitor component health.

• Participate in evaluation cycles for AI test quality and enhance Master Prompts based on output assessments.

• Formulate test strategies for AI-native systems, which include model output validation and fallback coverage.

• Assess and analyze the impact of AI cost and latency on the performance of the test pipeline.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

• Practical experience with testing frameworks such as Groovy/Spock.

• Proven experience in writing BDD test plans, including Gherkin syntax.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, particularly Jenkins.

• Knowledge of internal testing libraries.

• Experience with testing event-driven architectures, including Kafka.

• Proficient in testing RESTful APIs.

• Skilled in observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, New Relic, and Redash.

• Experience with AI coding assistants like Claude Code for test generation and automation is a significant advantage.

• Proficient in at least one scripting or programming language; coding ability is essential.

• Practical experience with both white-box and black-box testing methods.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience required.

• Generally, 3+ years of relevant experience is expected.
