This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct comprehensive functional testing of core banking applications, focusing primarily on FIS IBS functionalities and related banking processes.
• Assess business and technical requirements and convert them into detailed test scenarios, test cases, test data, and anticipated outcomes.
• Verify core transactions, account processing, customer/account data, and downstream effects across interconnected banking applications.
• Execute data validation and reconciliation utilizing SQL, queries, reports, and other analytical methodologies.
• Implement functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing throughout the application delivery lifecycle.
• Create and implement automated testing using Tosca and/or UiPath where applicable, while maintaining a strong emphasis on functional testing.
• Record, analyze, and manage defects until resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, subject matter experts (SMEs), and other quality engineering teams for root cause analysis.
• Detect data anomalies, processing issues, functional gaps, and edge cases impacting customers or downstream banking operations.
• Extensive hands-on experience in functional testing/quality engineering within complex enterprise applications.
• Core banking knowledge and experience is essential, with a preference for familiarity with FIS IBS.
• In-depth knowledge of core banking domains, including customer, account, deposit, transaction, and related banking processes.
• Strong skills in data analysis and validation, with the capability to reconcile data across applications, databases, files, and reports.
• Proven experience in developing and executing test scenarios, test cases, test data, regression suites, and conducting end-to-end testing.
• Proficient in identifying, documenting, troubleshooting, and managing defects and data discrepancies until resolution.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business SMEs, developers, analysts, and other technology teams in a complex banking environment.
• Preferred hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca for functional and regression test automation.
• Experience using UiPath for test automation or process validation is preferred.
• Strong SQL skills for backend data validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis are advantageous.
• Experience in testing core banking integrations and upstream/downstream application interfaces is preferred.
• Familiarity with large-scale bank conversions, mergers, core transformations, or account migration initiatives is beneficial.
• Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM, or similar test and defect management tools is preferred.
• Experience validating high-volume customer, account, transaction, and financial data is preferred.
• Understanding of Agile delivery methods and contemporary Quality Engineering practices is preferred.
• Must be able to successfully complete a background investigation for U.S. employment.
