Quality Engineer Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and lead testing initiatives throughout the entire software delivery lifecycle, encompassing requirement analysis and the formulation of test strategies.

• Conduct manual testing execution and perform exploratory validations.

• Implement automated testing and ensure sustained regression coverage.

• Investigate, document, and prioritize defects.

• Spearhead the design, development, and upkeep of automated test suites written in TypeScript.

• Maintain quality standards across functional, UX, performance, and platform-specific criteria.

• Create and sustain detailed test plans and test case suites.

• Keep a well-organized manual test pack for release and client validation.

• Generate thorough test reports customized to client specifications.

• Deliver testing results for Testing as a Service (TAAS) clients.

• Manage competing priorities across various external client projects.

• Communicate testing progress, risks, automation maturity, coverage, defect impacts, resolution support, and readiness for release.

• Professionally represent quality standards in client-facing situations.

• Assist with Smart TV and connected device setup and troubleshooting.

• Support the readiness and reliability of test environments.

• Contribute to the uptime and process improvement of the Connected TV lab.

• Debug intricate cross-device issues.

• Promote increased automation coverage and identify opportunities for efficiency and scalability.

• Collaborate with QE engineers and developers to integrate automation into CI/CD workflows and release pipelines.

• Significant professional experience in software testing, emphasizing quality engineering and automation-driven delivery.

• Demonstrated capability to develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites in a dynamic engineering environment.

• Proficiency in writing TypeScript code to a high standard and contributing to scalable automated test suites.

• Experience utilizing a programming language within automation frameworks.

• Strong understanding of debugging principles.

• Familiarity with testing APIs and relevant tools.

• In-depth knowledge of version control workflows, such as Git, and collaborative development methodologies.

• Experience with CI/CD workflows and pipelines.

• Excellent comprehension of the Software Development Lifecycle and the role of QE in contemporary delivery teams.

• Experience with issue-tracking tools such as GitLab, Qase, or Jira.

• Strong analytical and investigative abilities, with the capacity to debug issues across various devices and environments.

• Confident communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders in client-facing delivery contexts.

• Comfortable managing priorities across multiple simultaneous projects and service engagements.

• Ability to collaborate effectively in Agile ceremonies, including refinement, sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Proficiency in TypeScript as the programming language used within automation frameworks.

• Knowledge of Gherkin.
