Quality Control Manager – Quality, Food Safety

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Ensure the quality and compliance of raw materials and finished products produced by external partners.

• Supervise quality control operations at contract manufacturers.

• Execute quality programs and promote continuous improvement initiatives.

• Oversee daily quality compliance and guarantee timely product release.

• Evaluate non-conforming materials and support complaint investigations.

• Analyze supplier and laboratory Certificates of Analysis for accuracy and adherence to specifications.

• Coordinate testing and either release or reject raw material and finished product samples.

• Provide on-site quality assistance during the launch of new products.

• Lead the material review board and oversee the disposal of non-conforming, expired, damaged, and returned products.

• Maintain quality control records for audits and regulatory inspections.

• Manage and authorize finished product specifications and testing protocols.

• Organize third-party laboratory testing and assess external laboratories.

• Validate new testing methods or procedures as needed.

• Collaborate with Operations, QA, Regulatory, R&D, logistics, and Quality teams.

• Implement lean or efficiency-driven initiatives to enhance QC operations.

• Assist in cross-functional QC training and stay updated on industry and regulatory changes.

• Familiarity with FDA 21 CFR Part 111/117 regulations for foods and dietary supplements.

• Understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 standards or equivalent.

• Capability to coordinate microbiological, chemical, analytical, and stability testing.

• Proficiency in managing quality control activities at contract manufacturers.

• Ability to lead and train remote QC team members.

• Competence in managing CAPAs, non-conformances, deviations, complaints, and material review processes.
