Quality Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to comprehend product requirements and create detailed test plans for functional automation testing.

• Develop and sustain automated test scripts to verify software functionality, performance, and reliability using NUnit, MSTest, or a similar framework.

• Configure and establish automated testing environments, integrating them with CI/CD pipelines.

• Identify and prioritize test cases for automation based on risk assessment, impact, and coverage.

• Collaborate with software developers to incorporate automated tests into the development workflow and deliver prompt feedback on code quality.

• Investigate and analyze test failures, determine root causes, and execute corrective measures.

• Conduct manual testing for scenarios that are not amenable to automation.

• Identify, isolate, and document software defects utilizing established defect tracking tools.

• Engage in code reviews and offer constructive feedback to enhance code quality and testability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 3 years of experience in quality engineering.

• Strong expertise in designing and implementing automated test scripts with testing frameworks like Selenium, NUnit, or TestNG.

• Proficient in programming languages such as C#, GO, Python, or another relevant language.

• Significant technical knowledge in cloud computing, preferably AWS, with experience in Terraform and VPC.

• Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, agile methodologies, and continuous integration practices.

• Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

• Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively document test plans, test cases, and defects.

• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins is an advantage.
