This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Partner with physician evaluators to guarantee that medical-legal reports are thorough, precise, and adhere to statutory requirements.

• Evaluate medical-legal reports in accordance with MDpanel's Quality Assurance Best Practice Guidelines.

• Confirm the completeness and accuracy of all medical-legal reports.

• Ensure that reports align with the current California Labor Code and any changes in case law.

• Analyze impairment discussions, including Almaraz/Guzman and Kite analyses when relevant.

• Consult with physicians on matters related to impairment, apportionment, temporary disability, and permanent disability findings.

• Assist in preparing physicians for depositions.

• Review and evaluate medical records.

• Collaborate with Triage and Transcription teams to ensure that reports are grammatically correct, legally compliant, and processed for billing in a timely manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience with California Medical-Legal Workers' Compensation reporting is required.

• High proficiency in typing, word processing, formatting, and editing skills.

• Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology across orthopedics, neurology, internal medicine, ophthalmology, dentistry, and psychiatry/psychology.

• Proficiency in MS Word.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, especially in interactions with clinicians.

• Comprehensive understanding of AMA Guides (5th Edition) and California Labor codes.

• Familiarity with AMA Guides (6th edition) is a plus but not mandatory.

• Experience in reviewing QME, AME, and IME reports.

• Strong ethical judgment and ability to make independent decisions.
