This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Ensure that expense submissions from Career Advisors adhere to Federal WIOA, as well as local, state, and corporate guidelines.
• Oversee grant funds and maintain accurate records to ensure that grants remain within budget without incurring disallowed costs.
• Provide financial compliance support and participant reporting in cooperation with Career Advisors, the Project Director, and the Workforce Board.
• Ensure that participant expenditures are entered and processed promptly in line with policies and WIOA budgets.
• Manage and monitor financials for project participants, updating reimbursement status for project grants as needed.
• Assist teams across four counties with monthly project invoices, necessary documentation, and quality assurance reviews.
• Accurately and promptly complete written forms and reports.
• Support audit requirements and respond to program audit requests.
• Offer administrative assistance to teams and programs.
• Contribute to growth and program development initiatives.
• Perform additional duties and projects as required.
• Report directly to the Project Director.
• An associate degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues across various locations and, occasionally, with compliance and audit professionals at customer workforce boards.
• Preferred: 2+ years of accounting experience and knowledge of WIOA contracts/programs.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets; additional experience is a plus.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to interact across all levels of management and staff.
• Keen attention to detail, along with strong organizational, analytical, research, and critical thinking skills.
• Outstanding time management skills and ability to meet month-end accounting deadlines.
• Ability to multitask, take initiative, and work independently in a virtual team setting.
• Competence in handling routine tasks independently.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while remaining adaptable, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
• Capacity to meet deadlines and perform under pressure while managing a high volume of work swiftly and accurately.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and address personnel matters and inquiries with sensitivity, tact, and diplomacy.
• Multilingual or bilingual skills are preferred.
• Successful completion of a background check, including criminal, prior employment, and education verification.
