Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and uphold test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web, mobile, and/or backend systems.

• Conduct manual and relevant automated testing across functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing phases.

• Detect edge cases, usability challenges, and defects through comprehensive testing.

• Evaluate from the perspectives of end-users, QA engineers, and product owners.

• Record defects with adequate detail to facilitate developer reproduction and resolution.

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers during sprint and release cycles.

• Champion quality from the requirements gathering stage through to post-release monitoring.

• Manage the complete testing process for assigned features.

• Ensure that each release adheres to a high quality standard.

• Suggest enhancements to QA processes, testing strategies, and tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of practical QA experience.

• Solid understanding of software testing, test case development, and defect management.

• Experience in Agile development settings.

• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Proficient with QA tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Capability to document bugs clearly, collaborate with developers, and share findings efficiently.

• Familiarity with test automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright (preferred).

• Experience with API testing tools, including Postman (preferred).

• Background in a startup or dynamic product environment (preferred).

• Required English CEFR proficiency rating for application.

• Resume must adhere to the Coconut VA Profile format and be submitted in English.
