This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct functional, regression, and accessibility testing during each sprint, ensuring stories are validated against acceptance criteria and identifying merges that do not pass automated test gates.
• Develop and maintain both manual and automated test cases utilizing Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Perform accessibility scans on merge requests using Axe and pa11y, documenting results in Jira and Confluence in accordance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
• Confirm API functionality with tools like Postman or Rest Assured as part of sprint-level testing coverage.
• Work collaboratively with developers to create boilerplate and exploratory test cases for new features.
• Assist in the instrumentation of CI/CD pipeline tests in GitLab.
• Engage in load and performance testing activities.
• Take part in SAFe ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
• Pose questions during design and architecture discussions to ensure that systems are constructed with testability as a priority.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant QA engineering experience, along with a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent additional experience in place of a degree.
• Must satisfy federal suitability criteria and successfully complete a background investigation as a condition for employment.
• Expertise in test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Proven experience in creating test plans and test cases for both manual and automated testing scenarios.
• Knowledge of API testing tools, including Postman or Rest Assured.
• Familiarity with accessibility testing tools like Axe and pa11y.
• Experience in integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines and operating within GitLab or similar version control environments.
• Understanding of load and performance testing concepts and tools.
• Strong grasp of agile testing methodologies and the integration of QA into a sprint-based delivery model.
• Previous experience with federal agency digital services or in government contracting environments.
• Awareness of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and Section 508 compliance testing.
• Experience in manual assistive technology testing using tools such as JAWS, NVDA, or VoiceOver.
• Exposure to SAFe or scaled Agile delivery frameworks.
• Familiarity with Cucumber Gherkin or behavior-driven development testing methodologies.
• Experience with performance testing tools like NeoLoad, JMeter, or Taurus.
