Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess product requirements, designs, and technical specifications to detect potential quality concerns at an early stage

• Develop and uphold detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios

• Conduct functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing

• Evaluate web applications across various browsers and devices

• Test REST APIs and verify requests, responses, authentication, data integrity, and edge cases

• Validate intricate business workflows including onboarding, procurement, orders, RFQs, pricing, subscriptions, payments, and device lifecycle management

• Test integrations with third-party services and external systems

• Identify, document, prioritize, and monitor bugs with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence

• Collaborate closely with engineers to investigate, replicate, and resolve defects

• Conduct regression testing after bug resolutions and prior to production releases

• Engage in release testing and provide QA sign-off or feedback on release readiness

• Ensure data consistency across frontend, backend, APIs, and databases as needed

• Evaluate AI-powered features for functionality, reliability, response quality, and edge cases

• Contribute to the enhancement of QA processes, test coverage, and overall engineering quality

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in software quality assurance/testing

• Proficient experience with web application and API testing

• Experience in crafting detailed and effective test cases and bug reports

• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or similar

• Knowledge of browser developer tools and debugging web applications

• Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, authentication, and common API failure scenarios

• Experience in testing AI/LLM-powered applications and the capability to effectively evaluate AI-integrated tools and features

• Experience in testing complex workflows and integrations

• Ability to work with databases and write basic SQL queries for data validation

• Keen attention to detail and the ability to identify edge cases

• Strong communication and documentation skills

• Capability to work independently while effectively collaborating with remote engineering teams
