Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain high-volume business logic operating on mainframes.

• Refactor legacy code to enable modern cloud and mobile applications to interface with core mainframe data.

• Monitor system architecture and identify opportunities for code optimization while maintaining or enhancing mainframe performance.

• Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze complex interactions within systems.

• Extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud-based services.

• Collaborate with a global network of experts on mainframe modernization initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a software engineer on intricate software projects.

• Exceptional coding abilities and substantial development experience in Java, Python, .NET, or similar languages.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with software development methodologies and creating scalable, resilient software solutions.

• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML/JSON, and RESTful web services.

• Knowledge of architectural design, including microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, and messaging queues.

• In-depth understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.

• Experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering methodologies.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience (preferred).

• Certification in one or more hyperscalers, including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, or the willingness to obtain certifications with Kyndryl (preferred).
