Quality Assurance Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain automated testing solutions for software products.

• Create and uphold automated test scripts utilizing AI technologies for web, mobile, and/or backend applications.

• Utilize AI-driven testing tools to generate, optimize, and maintain test cases and test data.

• Conduct targeted manual testing and verify user stories.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to comprehend requirements and offer early feedback on design and implementation.

• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.

• Identify, document, track, and verify defects.

• Review design plans, process procedures, and quality manuals.

• Maintain quality records and documentation for compliance.

• Analyze data to pinpoint trends and prevent defects.

• Suggest and execute corrective actions.

• Apply root cause analysis tools and methodologies.

• Work closely with development, product, and operations teams.

• Advocate for agile principles, including adaptability, transparency, and iterative development.

• Lead the team in prioritizing and managing various tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.

• At least 5+ years of substantial experience in QA/testing and quality engineering.

• Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies.

• Strong communication skills, teamwork, and leadership abilities.

• Solid analytical and problem-solving aptitude.

• Ability to adapt to shifting requirements and maintain a change-oriented mindset.

• Capacity to guide the team in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks.

• Quality certifications are preferred.

• Preferred technical skills: Microsoft Suite, SAS Enterprise Guide, JIRA, Zephyr, GitHub, MySQL, Smartsheet, Confluence, UltraEdit/UltraCompare, Adobe Pro.

• Experience with Playwright is preferred; familiarity with Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools.

• Experience in manual and automated testing for web, mobile, and/or backend applications.

• Experience utilizing AI-powered testing tools.
