This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Develop comprehensive and detailed test plans and test cases based on application specifications and client business guidelines.
• Conduct manual testing and, when applicable, automated testing for both web and desktop applications.
• Detect, document, and monitor software bugs and defects until resolution.
• Acquire knowledge of client operations and workflows to effectively assess software in a real-world environment.
• Ensure that applications accurately integrate with and represent data from client systems.
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, and client stakeholders to clarify requirements and verify solutions.
• Execute regression testing to confirm that new releases do not disrupt existing functionality.
• Clearly communicate testing status, risks, and issues to the project team.
• Provide training for end users on utilizing the software solutions.
• Visit the client's facility monthly to gain insights on how the software influences production and business operations.
• Test custom applications developed and implemented across clients' enterprises.
• Assist in the support of applications integrated with client systems and business rules.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in writing test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and the software testing lifecycle.
• Familiarity with Microsoft technologies, including .NET, SQL Server, Windows Server, and Azure.
• Ability to rapidly learn new business domains.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort in collaborating directly with client-facing teams to grasp real business processes.
• Must reside within approximately 1.5 hours of Mooresville, NC or the nearby area.
• Must be able to travel to the client site monthly.
• An associate or bachelor's degree in a technology-related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in testing applications integrated with ERP platforms like Dynamics, SAP, or Epicor is preferred.
• Exposure to automated testing tools or frameworks is advantageous.
• Previous experience in a managed services or software consulting setting is beneficial.
• Comfortable with a break/fix support model and mindset.
• Able to communicate effectively and comfortably with non-technical end users on the production floor.
