QA Engineer – English

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Define and implement testing strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria for new features and platform upgrades

• Create and sustain automated tests, ensuring coverage of essential functional and regression paths

• Validate comprehensive functionality that includes React frontends, BFFs, backend services, databases, and external integrations

• Test integrations with both upstream and downstream systems, covering scenarios such as success, unavailability, timeout, invalid responses, and error handling

• Verify API contracts, payloads, HTTP status codes, business rules, and authentication and authorization processes

• Check data and business rules within databases using SQL

• Incorporate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines

• Analyze the results of automated test executions and investigate any failures

• Log, prioritize, and monitor defects with development and business teams

• Engage in requirements refinement and review sessions, identifying ambiguities, risks, dependencies, and unaddressed scenarios

• Assist in troubleshooting and root cause analysis utilizing logs and observability tools

• Collaborate with developers on shift-left testing, quality, and testability practices

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of automation frameworks, tools, and methodologies

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Quality Assurance, encompassing the planning, creation, and execution of test scenarios and cases

• Practical experience with test automation and the development and maintenance of automation frameworks or test suites

• Proficient in REST API test automation

• Experienced in end-to-end (E2E) test automation for web applications

• Familiarity with tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or their equivalents

• Proficient in using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools

• Knowledge of SQL for querying, validating, and analyzing data in relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL

• Experience in system integration testing, including APIs and both upstream and downstream systems

• Understanding of CI/CD processes and executing automated tests within pipelines

• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and code versioning methodologies

• Ability to investigate failures, troubleshoot problems, and identify root causes

• Capability to comprehend business requirements and convert them into test scenarios

• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and business teams, as well as stakeholders

• Advanced spoken and written English — mandatory
