Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with customers, product managers, engineers, and support teams to gain insights into workflows, clarify requirements, and establish testable acceptance criteria.

• Detect missing requirements, conflicting assumptions, and potential usability challenges prior to the commencement of development.

• Create and implement test plans that encompass real customer scenarios, edge cases, integrations, and regression risks.

• Investigate issues and document reproducible defects, providing clear evidence, expected behavior, and the impact on customers.

• Develop and sustain suitable automated tests while balancing automation with exploratory testing and human judgment.

• Clearly communicate testing progress, identify coverage gaps, and outline release risks.

• Utilize AI to generate test ideas, uncover overlooked scenarios, assist with automation, and analyze failures, while also verifying its output.

• Contribute to the enhancement of team-wide defect prevention and learning from customer issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside full-time in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Ohio, or Florida.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to explain technical matters to individuals with varying levels of technical expertise.

• Proven interest in engaging directly with customers.

• Experience in translating requirements and customer workflows into actionable testing strategies.

• Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to prioritize issues based on customer impact.

• Familiarity with software testing methodologies, defect tracking, and tools for examining application behavior.

• Hands-on experience utilizing AI tools, including providing relevant context, refining requests, recognizing limitations, and validating outcomes.

• A collaborative mindset towards quality and the confidence to raise concerns in a constructive manner.
