Quality Assurance and Research Program Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee quality assurance, sponsor support, research, and program development activities for the Office of Continuing Education Sponsor Approval.

• Assist APA-approved sponsors and applicants through consultations, written communication, and technical support.

• Prepare, assess, and finalize review reports and communications that reflect feedback from the Continuing Education Committee.

• Track, analyze, and utilize data from applications, renewals, review reports, complaints, and other quality assurance metrics.

• Plan, execute, and share findings from research evaluations and needs assessments.

• Collaborate on the development, implementation, assessment, and enhancement of the Sponsors with Distinction initiative.

• Create innovative resources, products, and services that promote sponsor success and high-quality continuing education.

• Assess and manage complaints and issues related to compliance.

• Provide technical advice concerning CESA systems, processes, and requirements.

• Represent the APA in a professional manner with sponsors, applicants, members, committees, and external organizations.

• Participate in team meetings, strategic planning, governance activities, and cross-functional initiatives.

• Offer administrative and governance support to the Continuing Education Committee, CRSSPP, and associated initiatives.

• Work autonomously, exercise sound judgment, identify opportunities for improvement, and communicate project status and emerging challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social science, public administration, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.

• Experience in data analysis and research design.

• Proven track record in quality assurance, program evaluation, program implementation, or continuous improvement initiatives.

• Experience in designing, conducting, and translating research or evaluation activities into actionable recommendations, resources, or products.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Advanced research experience, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.

• Strong customer service, consultation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Capacity to work independently, take initiative, manage multiple priorities, and effectively contribute within a collaborative team setting.

• Ability to analyze and interpret both quantitative and qualitative data to support decision-making and strategic planning.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Professional.

• Proficiency in online application and technical systems such as Salesforce.

• Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms including Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

• Advanced skills in data analysis software such as SPSS, NVivo, and Microsoft Excel.

• Proficiency in survey platforms like Alchemer.

• Final candidates must successfully complete a background check.

• Master’s degree is preferred.
