Quality Assurance Analyst III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with software developers, project managers, and business analysts.

• Develop and implement test cases, test plans, and test scripts based on business needs and technical specifications.

• Conduct verification and validation across various test streams within strict deadlines.

• Create comprehensive QA documentation that aligns with software requirements and design specifications.

• Prepare and oversee test execution as part of a team or as the sole tester.

• Perform ADA accessibility testing to ensure regulatory compliance.

• Produce daily test status reports and detailed test metrics for the Mainframe Transformation initiative.

• Execute manual, automated, system, integration, and regression testing.

• Validate transactional databases, Informatica code, and ETL processes.

• Assess legacy Mainframe applications, data reporting systems, and Java and .NET applications.

• Analyze user requirements, operational procedures, and system challenges.

• Identify opportunities for process automation and system enhancements.

• Report directly to the Program Manager.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 years of experience testing applications developed in Java and .NET.

• Proficient in testing web applications, with a solid understanding of Cloud and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) concepts.

• 8 years of experience in Smoke Testing, Regression Testing, Black Box Testing, White Box Testing, Manual Testing, and Automated Testing.

• Advanced-level experience with SQL queries and PL/SQL programs for application testing.

• Familiarity with Software Quality Assurance or Software Engineering methodologies.

• Experience in writing, revising, and verifying quality standards and test procedures, including test plans and test cases.

• Ability to translate business requirements and technical design specifications into test cases.

• Strong grasp of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• 4 years of experience in data testing utilizing SSIS, SSRS, and ETL processes.

• Experience in testing data across MS SQL databases, Oracle, and Mainframe data.

• 2 years of experience with the RRC LoneSTAR system.

• Ability to pass a background check.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.

• Capacity to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

• Self-driven and capable of working independently as well as within a multifunctional team.

• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

• Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

• Preferred: 4 years of experience with Azure DevOps for planning, tracking, and creating dashboards.

• Preferred: Experience in Mainframe application testing, including COBOL, JCL, CICS, Informatica, or Mulesoft.

• Preferred: Development of web application test scripts using Java, Selenium, or similar tools.

• Preferred: Experience with database queries, input-data generation, and data-update verification.

• Preferred: ADA planning and testing experience.

• Preferred: Informatica and Change Data Capture (CDC) planning and testing experience.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Microsoft, Java, and n-tier web technologies.

• Preferred: Familiarity with current web technologies and web application testing.

• Preferred: Experience in functional, performance, and load/stress testing.

• Preferred: 6 years of experience generating SQL queries and utilizing other data interrogation methods.

• Preferred: Experience in the Oil and Gas industry and compliance/enforcement-related project work.

• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience is preferred.
