Quality Assurance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with and provide support to a cross-functional team.

• Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.

• Review and assess system specifications.

• Perform both manual and automated testing prior to product launches.

• Test intricate and highly integrated software systems within an agile development environment.

• Strategize and design test methodologies and QA procedures.

• Engage in requirements review and story refinement.

• Coordinate test planning and execution alongside team members.

• Advocate for established quality practices and convey quality risks, impacts, and mitigations.

• Oversee feature-level integration testing in conjunction with the QA Lead.

• Analyze, maintain, and monitor testing defects.

• Validate adherence to requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Develop acceptance criteria in collaboration with Product when necessary.

• Ensure stories fulfill the Definition of Done.

• Summarize testing and validation outcomes and communicate status effectively.

• Appropriately and promptly escalate issues or obstacles.

• Participate in retrospectives, meetings, and reviews.

• Provide status updates in line with the team’s established processes.

• Assist in deployments to QA and higher environments, including executing and troubleshooting deployment jobs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or in a comparable role.

• Capability to work autonomously, manage assigned tasks, and deliver results with minimal oversight.

• Strong comprehension of QA processes and methodologies.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with Product and Development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Practical knowledge of database operations and industry best practices.

• Skill in providing clear, accurate, and timely end-of-day status reports.

• Strong documentation capabilities.

• Proficient in creating test plans, test cases, test results, defect reports, and associated quality documentation.

• Working knowledge of automation tools, such as Selenium and AWS.

• Familiarity with SQL.

• Experience using test management tools like QMetry.

• Strong familiarity with bug and task tracking tools, such as JIRA.

• Ability to perform data validation using effective SQL queries.

• Capability to support QA and higher-environment deployments.

• Proficiency in using Jenkins to run and debug deployment jobs.

• Experience with ETL/Data Quality testing is an advantage.

• Working knowledge of API testing.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate technical and non-technical concepts.

• Proven ability to make effective and timely decisions aligned with departmental objectives and best practices.

• Capacity to manage multiple complex and demanding projects, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain quality.
