This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the implementation of quality assurance and training initiatives utilizing quality frameworks and educational solutions.
• Enhance underwriting uniformity, ensure adherence to regulations, and address performance patterns revealed through quality assessments.
• Ensure prompt updates of quality assurance practices and reporting to reflect changes in underwriting, regulations, and industry standards.
• Foster partnerships and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Convert quality and training insights into actionable recommendations to aid informed decision-making.
• Design, execute, and sustain training programs tailored to specific roles in accordance with underwriting standards and business goals.
• Leverage quality insights, audit results, and business trends to pinpoint development opportunities.
• Implement focused learning and coaching strategies to enhance individual, team, and operational performance.
• Collaborate with underwriting leaders and business partners to drive process enhancements, operational readiness, system rollouts, and procedural modifications.
• Advocate for continuous improvement, knowledge exchange, and assessment of tools and technologies.
• Suggest improvements to boost quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Create dashboards, reports, and performance metrics that yield actionable insights and highlight trends.
• Act as the custodian for underwriting documentation, encompassing manuals, guidelines, training materials, quality and audit records, procedural documentation, and knowledge resources.
• Oversee the content, organization, version control, maintenance, distribution, compliance, and accessibility of documentation.
• Collaborate with project teams to spearhead quality assurance change management, training, documentation, and readiness initiatives.
• Provide hands-on support during peak workloads, complex situations, staffing shortages, and critical business projects.
• Bachelor's degree in business, risk management, quality management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance, training, compliance, process enhancement, or related operations.
• 5+ years of experience in leading quality assurance and training functions, including team development, quality programs, audits, assessments, and process improvement initiatives.
• Proficient in managing competing priorities, guiding cross-functional efforts, and influencing stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service abilities.
• Intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Advanced knowledge and skills in PowerPoint.
• Capable of analyzing performance data, identifying trends, creating dashboards and reports, and converting findings into actionable recommendations.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision, establish priorities, and exhibit strong project management capabilities.
• Effective collaboration with diverse groups in a corporate setting.
• Adaptable to working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Preferred knowledge of underwriting operations, risk assessment, regulatory standards, and quality assurance practices.
• Preferred certifications include ASQ CQA, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, ISO 9001, or similar.
• Preferred professional certification in instructional design or training delivery, such as ATD CPTD.
• Preferred experience with e-learning platforms, instructional design tools, and digital training solutions.
• Capacity to speak, hear, utilize a personal computer for standard business tasks, and sit for extended periods.
