Quality and Training Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Lead the execution of quality assurance and training initiatives utilizing quality frameworks and learning solutions.

• Enhance underwriting consistency, ensure compliance, and tackle performance trends identified through quality assessments.

• Ensure prompt updates of QA practices and reporting in alignment with underwriting, regulatory, and industry developments.

• Foster partnerships and convey quality and training insights as clear recommendations to stakeholders.

• Design, implement, and sustain role-specific training programs that align with underwriting quality standards and business objectives.

• Leverage quality insights, audit findings, and business trends to pinpoint development opportunities and execute targeted learning and coaching solutions.

• Collaborate with underwriting leaders and business partners on process enhancements, operational readiness, system implementations, and procedural modifications.

• Advocate for continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, tool and technology assessments, and enhancements in quality and efficiency.

• Create dashboards, reports, and performance metrics to deliver actionable insights and identify trends.

• Act as the custodian of underwriting documentation, including manuals, guidelines, training materials, quality and audit documentation, procedural records, and knowledge resources.

• Oversee documentation content, organization, version control, maintenance, distribution, regulatory compliance, and accessibility.

• Lead QA change management initiatives with project teams, ensuring training, documentation, and readiness for process and system transitions.

• Provide direct operational support during peak workloads, complex scenarios, staffing shortages, and critical business initiatives.

• Maintain service levels, quality standards, and operational efficiency.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, risk management, quality management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 7+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance, training, compliance, process improvement, or related operations.

• 5+ years of experience leading quality assurance and training functions, including team development, quality programs, audits, assessments, and process improvement initiatives.

• Capability to manage competing priorities, lead cross-functional efforts, and influence stakeholders.

• Strong written, verbal, presentation, interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service skills.

• Intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Advanced knowledge and proficiency in PowerPoint.

• Ability to analyze performance data, identify trends, develop dashboards and reports, and translate findings into actionable suggestions.

• Excellent project management capabilities.

• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and set priorities effectively.

• Capacity to collaborate with diverse groups in a corporate setting.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

• Preferred knowledge of underwriting operations, risk assessment, regulatory requirements, and QA practices.

• Quality certifications such as ASQ CQA, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, ISO 9001, or similar are preferred.

• Professional certification in instructional design or training delivery, such as ATD CPTD, is preferred.

• Experience with e-learning platforms, instructional design tools, and digital training solutions is preferred.

• Ability to engage in standard business functions using a personal computer, hear, and sit for extended periods.
