Quality and Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and enhance the quality feedback loop from field to factory for customized commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.

• Direct quality investigations from the initial report through containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and confirmed closure.

• Collect technical evidence and convert recurring trends into enhancements in design, manufacturing, supplier controls, installation guidance, training, and documentation.

• Create controlled Field Service Bulletins that encompass approved repair procedures, safety requirements, acceptance criteria, and closeout evidence.

• Monitor owners, milestones, risks, decisions, and overdue actions; eliminate blockers and escalate high-impact or lingering issues.

• Maintain quality dashboards and reports, identify systemic trends and emerging risks, and provide updates to leadership, project teams, customers, and factory partners.

• Travel to customer locations and manufacturing sites in Mexico to inspect equipment, troubleshoot, gather evidence, collaborate with factory teams, and verify the effectiveness of repairs.

• Work in collaboration with field operations, project teams, customers, engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and factory quality leaders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering, or a similar combination of technical education and relevant professional experience.

• A minimum of three years of pertinent experience in manufacturing quality, field service, commissioning, reliability engineering, technical investigations, or related technical project support.

• Strong mechanical and/or electrical investigation and troubleshooting capabilities.

• Familiarity with RCA, CAPA, 8D, 5 Whys, fishbone analysis, or FMEA methodologies.

• Capability to convert incomplete field data into clear technical problem statements and effectively drive corrective actions to verified closure.

• Proficient in communicating complex technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally approximately 10–20%, including travel to manufacturing facilities in Mexico.

• A valid passport is preferred; candidates without one must be able to obtain it within the first 90 days of employment.

• Five or more years of relevant experience is preferred.

• Direct experience with commercial or industrial HVAC equipment is preferred.

• Experience with manufacturing facilities, suppliers, factory quality teams, or field-service organizations is preferred.

• Experience in developing technical repair procedures, Field Service Bulletins, corrective-action documentation, or quality dashboards is preferred.
