QE Automation Engineer – Mobile

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Work collaboratively with the QA lead to enhance the automation strategy.

• Develop and sustain the end-to-end testing framework.

• Detect bugs early during the development cycle.

• Expand test coverage and improve test reliability.

• Engage directly with mobile automation utilizing Appium and WebDriverIO.

• Troubleshoot, repair, and stabilize existing automated tests.

• Improve test reliability through small, passing tests and gradually increase coverage.

• Incorporate automated tests into GitHub CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.

• Oversee and optimize test case repositories in BrowserStack.

• Track test results in Sentry and work alongside developers to address issues.

• Foster ownership and ongoing enhancement in QA automation.

• Interact directly with the client via the Extended Team model, utilizing the client’s tools and technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of overall QA experience, including a minimum of 5 years in mobile-focused QA automation.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Appium and WebDriverIO.

• Proficient in TypeScript for creating automated tests.

• Experience with deploying mobile applications through App Store Connect and Google Play.

• Strong grasp of test design and the ability to construct stable, reliable test suites.

• Competent in executing tests on real devices and cloud-based platforms like BrowserStack.

• Good knowledge of API design and capability to work with APIs in testing.

• Fluent in English.

• Experience with consumer-facing mobile applications (B2C) is preferred.

• Familiarity with BrowserStack is a plus.

• Knowledge of Jest is advantageous.

• Experience with high-load/high-scale applications is a plus.

• Familiarity with Sentry or similar error monitoring tools is a plus.
