QA Testing Manager – Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee a team of QA/testing professionals as well as multiple testing teams.

• Develop a scalable automation framework for a third-party mainframe application.

• Formulate an automation strategy that addresses the current state, identifies gaps, suggests improvements, establishes metrics, and sets objectives.

• Implement best practices and recommend enhancements for the CCUL Testing teams’ environment and workflows.

• Determine and set up an automation environment to enhance time efficiency and productivity.

• Collaborate with Test Managers to identify target tests, including regression, functional, and cross-business testing.

• Independently analyze requirements, pinpoint testing gaps, identify risks, raise concerns, and propose enhancements to quality.

• Coordinate resolutions, plans, and strategies for operational improvement.

• Contribute to the direction of testing methods and tool selection.

• Organize and prioritize various testing initiatives while optimizing test activities across projects.

• Oversee the development and implementation of new testing strategies and guidelines.

• Manage financial reporting for projects along with operational disciplines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Technical Certificate.

• More than 7 years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency with Jira and JTMF/Zephyr.

• Solid understanding of sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, requirement reviews, quality gates, and release readiness activities.

• Extensive knowledge of SDLC/STLC, test planning, SIT, UAT, E2E testing, regression testing, risk-based testing, defect management, release validation, and test reporting.

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in automation development using Java.

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in automation development utilizing TypeScript.

• Capability to manage multiple testing teams and navigate complex projects.

• Familiarity with project financial management and reporting.

• Understanding of business and delivery practices, IT processes, QA methodologies, and testing tools.

• Willingness to travel domestically on occasion.

• Ability to perform sedentary work and operate standard office equipment.
