QA Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and implement thorough manual and automated testing strategies.

• Evaluate system requirements, user stories, and design documents to formulate test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.

• Conduct manual functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, user acceptance, usability, and UI testing.

• Design, build, maintain, and run automated test scripts utilizing frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, or WebdriverIO.

• Establish and manage automated API testing suites with tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar alternatives.

• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines, including Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.

• Write and execute SQL or equivalent database queries to ensure migrations, data integrity, and backend transactions are validated.

• Perform API, database, and backend validation testing.

• Execute regression testing prior to scheduled deployment releases.

• Document, monitor, and manage software defects using Jira or Azure Boards.

• Work collaboratively with software developers to identify, replicate, and resolve system issues.

• Ensure compliance with Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards.

• Generate test execution reports, quality metrics, and compliance documentation for project management and stakeholders.

• Engage with developers, business analysts, and key stakeholders in an Agile environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent professional experience may be accepted.

• At least 5+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance and testing.

• 3+ years of direct experience in designing, writing, and executing automated test scripts for enterprise-scale web applications.

• Experience in testing single-page applications developed with modern frontend frameworks like React.

• Experience with backends created using frameworks such as .NET Core / .NET.

• Expertise in automated testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, and Playwright.

• Strong knowledge of RESTful API testing, JSON, and web services.

• Solid experience in database testing, including the ability to write and optimize SQL queries.

• Familiarity with Git and collaborative branching workflows.

• Comprehensive understanding of SDLC and STLC processes within an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Exceptional attention to detail along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

• Candidates must be U.S. citizens.

• Required minimum clearance to start: Public Trust or favorably adjudicated Secret Clearance.

• Must comply with enterprise cybersecurity policies, OPSEC requirements, and system access regulations.

• Certifications: candidates should possess or be willing to obtain the specified cybersecurity baseline and professional/technical certifications; listed certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
