This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +2 more states.
• Take full ownership of the QA process for projects from start to finish, including the development of test strategies, creation of test cases, management of regression suites, and final release sign-off.
• Conduct manual and exploratory testing on both web and mobile platforms, encompassing functional, boundary, negative, cross-browser, responsive, and unplanned user interactions.
• Develop and sustain automated test coverage while utilizing coding agents to write, enhance, and troubleshoot test suites.
• Evaluate AI features for unpredictable outputs, prompt regressions, hallucinations, failure modes, and performance assessments.
• Investigate and pilot new AI testing tools, providing reports on their effectiveness, cost, and recommendations for ongoing use.
• Create detailed bug reports that include reproduction steps, environment details, severity levels, evidence, and comparisons of expected versus actual outcomes.
• Gain an in-depth understanding of each product by reviewing specifications, probing requirements, comprehending user needs, and pinpointing potential failure points.
• Keep the team informed about release statuses, coverage, blockers, and accepted shipping risks.
• Excellent written English skills coupled with a tendency to over-communicate.
• Ability to escalate issues on the same day they arise.
• A strong sense of ownership and accountability for the quality and status of QA.
• Hands-on experience in production testing, including manual and exploratory testing techniques.
• Capability to extract and prioritize significant test cases from minimal specifications.
• Proven experience in maintaining automation with tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Familiarity with API testing.
• Proficient in JavaScript or Python enough to address flaky tests.
• Solid understanding of the software development life cycle and the role of QA within it.
• Practical experience with Claude, Cursor, or Gemini for test generation and triage purposes.
• Awareness of design quality, including visual defects, broken empty states, and placeholder text.
• Availability for four hours of daily overlap with US business hours.
