QA Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage all facets of quality assurance in the production facility.

• Create and implement thorough quality control policies and procedures.

• Keep updated on food safety regulations to ensure compliance within the facility.

• Work in conjunction with regulatory agencies during inspection processes.

• Establish and monitor quality control measures throughout the production cycle.

• Perform regular inspections of products and processes.

• Audit production methodologies and collaborate with various departments for improvements.

• Create and maintain documentation and records related to quality control.

• Partner with procurement to set standards for the quality of incoming raw materials.

• Conduct audits of suppliers to verify adherence to quality specifications.

• Design and deliver quality control training for production personnel.

• Resolve customer concerns related to quality and implement corrective measures.

• Investigate instances of non-conformance and deviations, applying corrective and preventive actions.

• Promote continuous improvement to enhance quality performance.

• Collaborate with R&D to ensure that new products comply with quality standards.

• Provide quality-related input during the product development phase.

• Develop and manage emergency response plans concerning quality issues.

• Lead efforts in crisis management related to quality incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience in a production setting.

• At least two (2) years of experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biological Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline (Preferred Qualifications).

• Certification in HACCP Principles and Preventive Controls for Human Food (Preferred Qualifications).

• Strong background in production with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

• Capability to manage and develop team members effectively.

• Proficiency in interacting with regulatory agencies.

• Familiarity with Microsoft applications, including solid skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint, along with the ability to learn additional business-related applications.
