QA Engineer – Validation, Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Plan, implement, and document testing and validation activities within a regulated framework.

• Develop and enhance automated testing methodologies and integrate them into quality assurance workflows.

• Utilize AI-driven tools to enhance testing, analysis, automation, and validation processes while ensuring appropriate human oversight.

• Partner with Development and IT teams to incorporate quality and automated testing into development and deployment processes.

• Ensure traceability, maintain validation evidence, and produce audit-ready documentation.

• Identify and manage defects and quality-related risks.

• Enhance testing and validation efficiency through scalable, risk-based, and automated methodologies.

• Collaborate closely with QA, Development, Product, and IT/DevOps teams.

• Contribute to the development of QA best practices.

• Assist in the validation of Cyntegrity’s SaaS offerings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a similar relevant discipline.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software quality assurance, software testing, validation, test automation, or a related field.

• Experience in a regulated or highly controlled environment.

• Practical experience with software testing and validation processes, including test design, execution, defect management, documentation, and traceability.

• Hands-on experience with test automation and automated quality assurance methodologies.

• Familiarity with modern software development and DevOps practices.

• Strong understanding of software testing, quality assurance, and validation principles.

• Good knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC), DevOps, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and cloud environments, especially Microsoft Azure.

• Hands-on experience with test automation tools, frameworks, or scripting languages.

• Practical experience utilizing AI tools to enhance quality assurance, testing, or automation workflows.

• Strong analytical abilities to convert requirements and risks into effective test scenarios and validation documentation.

• Understanding of traceable, audit-ready quality processes with a keen attention to detail.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within an international remote team.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Nice to have: experience with GxP, GAMP 5, ICH GCP, CSV, or CSA.

• Nice to have: experience with SaaS products in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, clinical research, or other regulated industries.

• Nice to have: familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, APIs, databases, or test-data automation.

• Nice to have: relevant certifications such as ISTQB, GAMP 5, GCP, Azure, or similar.
