QA Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Conduct manual testing to confirm the functionality of new features and bug fixes.

• Validate API responses and assess database interactions.

• Detect and report defects with thorough and precise details.

• Identify, document, and prioritize bugs using JIRA or similar tracking tools.

• Re-test resolved defects and carry out regression testing prior to releases.

• Work independently on minor defects and contribute to medium-sized projects with support.

• Determine happy-path and negative tests based on specified requirements.

• Assess the scope of small features or fixes aligned with business objectives.

• Prioritize test cases and provide estimates for assignments.

• Collaborate with QA and development teams to investigate technical issues and escalate them to leads.

• Recognize inefficiencies in QA processes and propose enhancements.

• Keep abreast of current QA trends and tools.

• Acquaint yourself with the product, team structure, and development workflow within the first 30 days.

• Review existing test cases and reports, test minor features, log defects, and shadow senior QA analysts.

• Take responsibility for writing and executing test cases for client bugs, small features, or modules within the first 60 days.

• Collaborate with development on intricate features and edge cases.

• Increase responsibility for testing tasks or projects and provide feedback on onboarding and QA processes within the first 90 days.

⛳️ Requirements

• 0–2 years of relevant experience.

• Fundamental knowledge of software testing methodologies, including manual testing.

• Familiarity with QA tools such as JIRA or Postman.

• Basic understanding of REST APIs and database testing.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

• Good grasp of product functionality and architecture and its relevance to the business.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to work efficiently in cross-functional teams.

• B2 level English proficiency or higher is required.
