QA Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, oversee, and implement functional, integration, API, and user acceptance testing strategies.

• Create test cases based on business as well as functional and technical specifications.

• Conduct both exploratory and focused manual testing to uncover issues.

• Engage in sprint planning and requirements analysis meetings.

• Diagnose application and system-related problems.

• Identify, document, and monitor bug tickets using JIRA.

• Collaborate with developers and product managers to ascertain system requirements.

• Offer assistance to non-technical team members in their investigation of technical challenges.

• Support the resolution of production issues in conjunction with Reliability Engineering, DevOps, and Application Development teams.

• Evaluate test outcomes and compile reports.

• Validate Web, API, and database platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in testing web-based and API systems.

• At least 3 years of experience in software development and testing.

• Practical experience in designing and executing functional, GUI, and API tests.

• Strong grasp of QA methodologies, effective testing strategies, and contemporary best practices.

• Familiarity with all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), particularly in an Agile/SCRUM environment.

• Proficient knowledge of ChromeDevTool, Postman, and TestRail.

• Experience in creating comprehensive test plans and cases that encompass both positive and negative scenarios.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.

• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with product developers, direct managers, and engineering colleagues.

• Quick response to assigned bugs and hotfixes.

• Basic understanding of MPulse’s business operations.

• Proven track record of successful participation in the completion and release of production builds.

• Capacity to receive feedback and have work reviewed by senior QA engineers.

• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.

• Capability to lift weights of up to 50 lbs.
