QA Engineer, German

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Join a cross-functional agile team or a practice group dedicated to promoting best practices in quality assurance throughout the domain.

• Collaborate closely with the team to provide customer-oriented solutions and maintain application quality from initial concept through to release.

• Design, implement, and enhance manual testing processes with a focus on detail, thorough documentation, and security considerations.

• Develop and carry out test strategies that encompass functional, integration, and exploratory testing.

• Ensure the availability and relevance of test data, identifying areas where manual testing offers the most value.

• Assist in defining quality metrics where automation has its constraints.

• Share your QA knowledge and promote a culture of continuous improvement and a quality-first approach.

• Collaborate with Product Owners to guarantee that requirements are clear, testable, and meet quality standards.

• Create and execute manual test cases for functional, integration, UI/UX, and regression testing.

• Conduct end-to-end testing for web and mobile applications across iOS, Android, and hybrid platforms.

• Analyze requirements and user stories to develop test scenarios and detailed feature specifications.

• Engage in grooming and planning sessions, championing quality, and contributing to testing estimations.

• Identify, document, and track software defects in collaboration with developers and product teams.

• Oversee test data preparation and exploratory testing in scenarios where automation is not feasible.

• Contribute to enhancements in QA processes, test documentation, knowledge sharing, tool assessments, and QA initiatives.

• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders in both English and German as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in manual software testing within agile development frameworks.

• Demonstrated capability to design, document, and implement test plans and test cases based on business and technical specifications.

• Familiar with testing REST APIs utilizing tools such as Postman or Swagger.

• Knowledge of QA methodologies, defect life cycle, and agile software delivery principles (Scrum/Kanban).

• Experience with cross-platform testing for web and mobile applications.

• Upper-intermediate or higher proficiency in both spoken and written English.

• Upper-intermediate or higher proficiency in both spoken and written German.

• Exposure to or basic knowledge of test automation concepts and tools like Appium, Cucumber, RestAssured, or JMeter.

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, Charles Proxy, Android Studio, or Xcode.

• Familiarity with BDD/TDD practices and teamwork in projects that implement them.

• Interest in evolving into test automation over time.
