QA Engineer – Game Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Engage in every phase of the software development lifecycle to ensure the quality of gaming products.

• Examine and assess product and technical requirements; pinpoint untestable or unclear items prior to the commencement of development.

• Collaborate with QA and development teams to devise thorough testing strategies.

• Develop and sustain automated tests for web and mobile game clients.

• Implement test cases and evaluate results to uncover issues across both web and mobile platforms.

• Validate game functionality against specifications, including paytables, RTP, and payout behavior in relation to the mathematical model.

• Conduct tests to comply with regulatory and certification standards.

• Assist in the preparation of evidence for regulatory submissions.

• Report and manage bugs with clarity and actionable insights.

• Work with AI-assisted tools, ensuring expected behavior is defined clearly enough for automated validation.

• Partner with Product and Development teams to promote continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated work experience in software development and quality assurance.

• Practical experience in writing and maintaining automated tests within an existing framework.

• Expertise in testing web (HTML5, WebGL) and mobile (iOS, Android) platforms.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

• In-depth understanding of QA best practices, tools, and methodologies.

• Strong communication skills; ability to draft clear test plans and test cases for execution or automation.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

• Knowledge of Jira, TestRail, or similar project management tools.

• 3–5 years of experience in QA within an agile framework.

• Previous experience in testing games for web and mobile platforms.

• Proven track record with game development pipelines and release processes.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in QA.

• Preferred: Experience in testing real-money or social casino products against certification standards (GLI or equivalent).

• Preferred: Background in verifying game mathematics from specifications or math files.

• Preferred: Experience with AI-assisted QA tools.

• Preferred: Familiarity with device-cloud testing platforms like BrowserStack.
