Senior QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of test cases, test plans, and test scripts for various features and releases.

• Coordinate testing efforts across web interfaces, mobile applications, APIs, and backend services.

• Create and maintain automated test suites utilizing tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent technologies.

• Ensure data quality and transformations are validated throughout data pipelines and Data Lakes.

• Assist in testing AI/ML models to verify output consistency and accuracy.

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to facilitate CI/CD integration and establish rapid feedback loops.

• Monitor and report on test coverage, defect metrics, and overall release readiness.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to QA engineers and manual testers.

• Lead regression, smoke, and performance testing activities across various environments.

• Ensure compliance with QA best practices, HIPAA regulations, and health tech standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in software quality assurance, with 3-5 years in a lead or senior QA position.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript/JavaScript and/or Python.

• Extensive hands-on experience with automated UI/API testing frameworks like Playwright, Cucumber, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, or Protractor.

• Experience in automating tests for mobile applications.

• Knowledge of data quality testing within cloud environments such as AWS, Redshift, or S3.

• Ability to write and execute SQL queries for backend validation purposes.

• Familiarity with AI/ML product testing or workflows related to model verification.

• Strong grasp of Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and the software development lifecycle.

• Exceptional communication and coordination abilities.

• Preferred: background in backend development using Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript.

• Preferred: advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases.

• Preferred: knowledge of Apache Airflow or Luigi.

• Preferred: hands-on experience with Snowflake or Redshift.

• Preferred: previous experience in health tech, digital health, or telehealth platforms.

• Preferred: understanding of HIPAA compliance standards.

• Preferred: familiarity with TestRail, Zephyr, Jira, JMeter, k6, or Postman.
