QA Engineer – Core Database

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and improve test automation frameworks while creating automated test cases.

• Experiment with new features to ensure their successful deployment in production.

• Conduct testing for cross-functional implementations among internal ClickHouse teams.

• Introduce new testing strategies and automation for large-scale, complex distributed systems.

• Assess new ClickHouse functionalities with each release.

• Discover opportunities to enhance the existing codebase.

• Design and refine current testing infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth understanding of SQL.

• Prior experience in a similar role as SDET, Release Engineering, or QA related to classical databases or distributed systems.

• Practical experience with a programming language such as Python, Go, or C++.

• Capability to read C++ code for validation purposes.

• Proficient knowledge of Git, Linux, and shell scripting.

• Background in both manual and automated testing.

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in debugging SQL databases.

• Strong skills in production debugging.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams.

• Outstanding communication skills.

• Quick learner of complex technologies in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
